Breakfast: Honey & Toasted Almond Porridge

This is super quick to make; perfect for rushed weekday mornings.  Oats and nuts release their energy nice and slowly so it ought to keep you going for a few hours.


Fed 1 - Multiply quantities as needed







Ingredients:
1 bowl of oats 10p
1 tablespoon flaked almonds 25p
1 dessert spoon almond butter 25p
1 tablespoon spoon yoghurt 10p
Total: 70p


Store Cupboard:
1 dessert spoon honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon


- Toast the almonds in a small pan, toss them every couple of minutes.


- Boil the kettle, add to the oats and mix thoroughly.  Add the almond butter and cinnamon then stir in.


- Put a big spoon of yoghurt on top, drizzle over the honey and top with the almonds.

Some other good combinations are pear (tinned or fresh) and hazelnut or banana and Nutella.
